EARLDINE UTLEY CARVER
(March 18, 1931—June 3rd, 2022)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Earldine Utley Carver, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all those whose lives she touched. Earldine was united in marriage to her loving husband, Reverend Jack Carver, on April 16th, 1946. They built a happy life together, devoted to their family, friends, and community. Jack & Earldine served in ministry at Mifflin Baptist Church in Chester County, Clover Creek Baptist in Medon, Parrans Chapel Baptist in Bolivar, Charjean Baptist in Memphis, and Hebron Baptist in Middleton.
During her lifetime, Earldine found great joy in her family, her church, her community, spending time camping and gardening outdoors, and being a member of the Golden Sounds Traveling Choir. She had an optimistic sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and was committed to making her loved ones feel safe and happy.
Earldine was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Jack L. Carver, and her parents John Prentice and Annie Bernard Utley. She is survived by her three children, Rickey Carver (Kathy) of Collierville, TN, Debbie Carver of Ashland City, TN, Mike Carver of Corinth, MS, her six grandchildren, Stephannie Welsh (Eric) of Jackson, MS, Lindsey Sipes of New Orleans, LA, Jennifer Gladden (Bernie) of Maryville, TN, Kayce Singeton (Jonathan) of Ashland City, TN, Heather Klutts (Ryan) of Ripley, TN, Jessica Greene (Marshall) of Middleton, TN, and seven great-grandchildren: Beckett (23) and Lachlan (18) Welsh, Jett (10) and Braven (6) Singleton, Max Gladden (11), Catelynn (11), Daniel (5), Angel (10), and Peyton (11).
A graveside service will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 1pm with Brother Lynn King officiating.
