Dutch Daniel Crotty, aged 57, passed away on July 12, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by his family. Born on December 15, 1967, in South Charleston, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dennis Ray Crotty and Patsy Arlene (Coomes) Crotty. Mr. Crotty was employed as a tow motor operator with A.O. Smith for five years and previously worked for the City of Clarksville.
Dutch was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being on the riverbank and loved the Minnesota Vikings. His friends will remember him as a jokester and clown.
He is survived by his brother, James Crotty and his wife Freida; sister, Suzanne Hackett; nieces and nephew, Stephanie Roberson (Parker), Kayla Hackett, Shelby Crotty, Mandi Davidson, and Jesse Boyd; grandnieces, Piper Roberson and Halle White and grandnephew, Adler Boyd; his four-legged wife and loving mate, Elly Mae; four aunts and four uncles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Ray and Patsy Crotty; and sister, Dody Rae Boyd.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 19th at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bart Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, July 18th from 3pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 11am until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be David Greco, Darren Holt, A.J. Anderson, Peanut Brown, Jesse Boyd, and Steve Romans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research.
