Dorothy Nell Smock Meadows, age 92, of Ashland City, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 11, 2021. Nell was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, to the late Avery and Jessie Sanders Smock. She was a retired farmer. Nell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Willard Meadows Sr; sons, T.W., Don, David and Jerry Meadows; daughters, Beverly Presson and Marie Sisco; brothers, Hershel Malcom Smock, Dudley (Duck) Smock, and Ray Smock; and sister, Ruth Tullock. She is survived by her son, Ricky Dale (Debbie) Meadows; daughters, Carolyn Jones, Nancy (George) Gravitt, Judy (Clarence) Odle; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Terry Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Mallory's Cemetery in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday before the service from 10am until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Meadows, Tyler Presson, Michael Gravitt, Reece McMillan, Landon McMillan, and Robert Nicholson.
