SIMPKINS, Dorothy Gail, age 63, passed away at Hillcrest Healthcare on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Hilda Hunter Austin; husband, Harold Simpkins; and brother, Randall Austin. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Jennifer) Simpkins; daughters, Andrea (John) Wilson, and Janet Williams; brothers, Gene Austin, and Sam (Jennie Bee) Austin; sisters, Helen (Jerry) Nicholson and Patricia Simpkins; and four grandchildren, Christian Wilson, Kelly Wilson, Jennie Williams, and Nora Simpkins. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home at 1 pm with Bro. Terry Forrest officiating. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 18, 2014, 4 – 8 pm and on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 10 am til service hour of 1 pm. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Simpkins, Clint Nicholson, Eric Nicholson, Christian Wilson, Randall McCarver, and James Austin.
