Obituary

WAYMAN, DORIS MAE, age 81, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. Doris was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 17, 1935 to the late Marvin P. Farmer, Sr and Bessie Mae Short Farmer. She was a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford D. Wayman; her brothers, Marvin "Palford" Farmer, Jr; Andrew "Wiley" Farmer; Paul E. Farmer; Horace L. Farmer. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Tommy) Hale, Tim (Sheila) Wayman and Mark (Shannon) French; brother, Raymond (Millie) Farmer; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was a member of the Scottsboro United Methodist Church. Before she retired, she worked as a vinyl records label maker for United Record Pressing Company. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Joy Edwards and Ernest B. "Butch" Parker Jr officiating. Burial will follow in Dozier Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 13, 2017, from 3-8 pm and visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10 am until time of service of 1 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark French, Timmy Wayman, Jeremy Hale, Dylan Wayman, Kyler Wayman, Stevie Baskin. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hale, Bobby Holmes and Steven Baskin. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris' memory may be made to Scottsboro UMC c/o Cheatham County Funeral Home 615-792-2552 cheathamcountyfh.com
