DORIS BEATRICE "AUNT BEA" READ, age 90, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018, at Hillcrest HealthCare Center in Ashland City, Tennessee. Aunt Bea was born in Tennessee on July 6, 1927, to the late Blake and Artie Taylor Harris. She was a member of the Petway Church of Christ and worked and retired after over 32 years from Genesco. Aunt Bea is preceded in death by her parents: Blake and Artie Harris; husband, Ewing Read; and brothers: Lloyd Harris, Hub Harris, and Harden Harris. She is survived by her son, Randy Read. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 4, 2018, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Maurice Nunnally officiating. Burial will follow in Petway Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 1pm to 5pm and on Sunday, February 4th from 12noon until service hour of 2pm. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
