Donald "Duck" Wayne Simpkins, Sr., age 68, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on December 6, 1956, to the late James Allen Bradford Simpkins and Thelma Frances (Graham) Simpkins. He enjoyed old cars and antiques. He worked in construction. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Simpkins; brothers, Steve Allen Simpkins and Gary Walter Simpkins; and sisters, Edna Simpkins Beach and Joann Simpkins. He is survived by his son, Donald Wayne Simpkins, Jr. (Tabitha); sister, Beverly Thompson (Rick); grandchildren, Carson Watts and Keirsten Thomas; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm and Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9am until the service hour of 11 am. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Simpkins, John Perry, Doug Douglas, Rickey Thompson, Tyler Kemp, and Carson Watts.
