MEADOWS, Don, age 83, passed away on February 11, 2016, at St. Thomas MidTown in Nashville, Tennessee. Don was born in White Bluff, Tennessee, on June 30, 1932, the son of James Ellis Meadows and Bertha Vernell Meadows. He worked as a carpenter, a farmer and owner of Meadows Escavating as well as Mary Helen's Grocery. Don was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Harold Meadows. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Helen Kost Meadows; son, Steve (Pam) Meadows; daughters, Sharon (Pete) Story and Melonie Dawson; grandchildren, Christy, Ray, Jennifer, Angela, Leslie, Misty, Stevie, Melissa, Billy and Amy; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Monday, February 15, 2016, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Clate Reed providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in Meadows Cemetery in White Bluff, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2016, from 11am until 7pm, Sunday, February 14th, from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday, from 11am until service hour of 1pm. A rosary will be Sunday, February 14th at 7pm. Serving as pallbearers: Ray Campbell, Jeff Young, Pete Story, Josh Combs, David Hill, Larry Fleet, Stevie Meadows, and Allen Oakley.
