SCARLOTT, Dimple Louise (Meadows), age 70, and lifetime Ashland City resident, passed away at her home on September 18, 2013, after courageously fighting breast cancer for three years. Many may know Dimple from Cheatham County Central High School, where she proudly worked in the maintenance department; others may recall her from the Charlotte Pike Kmart. All will remember Dimple's jet black hair, candid and oftentimes funny conversation, and the tremendous pride she took in her Native American (Cherokee) heritage. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Meadows and Lena Tennessee (Pardue) Meadows; aunt, Sophie Bell Zornes; and her former husband, Vestal Scarlott. She is survived by her son, Daniel Meadows of Nashville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Scarlott) and Marvin Young of Fairview, TN; grandchildren, Marvin Young, III, and Sarah Young; sister, Doris Henke of Diamond Springs, CA; nephews and niece, Stephen and Phillip Henke and Annette Bingham; and dear friend and constant caregiver, Donald Shadrach. Funeral service will be Monday at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Paul Robert Gupton officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 4pm to 8pm and on Monday, September 23, 2013, from 9am until service hour of 11am. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
