Dillon Monroe Anderson, age 77, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dillon was born on May 1, 1941, in Fairview, Tennessee, to the late Benjamin Monroe Anderson and Mary Spicer Anderson. Dillon was retired from State Industries as a chief of security, was a volunteer rescue worker over 20 years, a constable and deputy under Dorris Weakley and Les Binkley. Dillon is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Virginia Andrews Anderson; children, Victor Anderson, Doug (Denise) Anderson and Valarie (Mike) Clark; 6 grandchildren, D.J. (Hannah) Anderson, Jessica Paige Anderson, Hunter (Laura) Anderson, Savannah Anderson, Chase and Payton Clark; 3 great-grandchildren, Kailey Makenzie Bennett, Luke Wayne Anderson and Harper Grace Bennett; siblings, Barbara (Jimmy) Hudgens, Phyllis (Clebert) Warren, Vera Mae (Henry) Cook, Clemie Buttrey, James Anderson, and William Thomas Anderson; and a host of sweet caring nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Chris Royalty officiating. Burial will be in Jane Jones Cemetery in Fairview, Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018, from 12noon until 8pm and on Thursday from 9am until service hour of 12noon.
