Dickie "Dick" Wayne Spurlock, age 69, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. Dick was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on April 8, 1949, to the late George Wilson Spurlock, Sr., and Doris Caroline Murphy Spurlock. He was a Christian and a United States Army Veteran, serving his country two terms. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, George, Johnny and Steve Spurlock. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Phillip) Spurlock Teeters and Vickie (Lendoll) Spurlock Hunt; and brother, Brent (Liz) Spurlock; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Darryl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, with military honors. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 10, 2019, from 3pm top 7pm and on Thursday, April 11th from 9am until service hour of 11am. Serving as active pallbearers will be Patrick Clark, George Spurlock, III, William Spurlock, Tim Hunt, Danny Mayo, and Joeseph Spurlock. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Spurlock.
