Deborah "Debi" Ann Read Westbrooks, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Debi was born September 29, 1947, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to the late Claude and Ollie Fogus Read. She was a graduate of Cheatham County Central High School Class of 1965 and worked most of her life in the insurance industry. She was outgoing with a fun-loving spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Debi was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jackie Neal "Bud" (Ann) Read and Anthony Darrell (Becky) Read; sister, Libby Williams; nephew, Mike (Tammy) Reed; and niece, Susan "Sam" Lampley. She is survived by her nieces, Myra "Spudie" Williams, Candice (Jason) Shoulders, Brandi (Adrian) Hilborn; nephews, Tony (Amy) Read and Jeff (Crystal) Reed; great-niece, Hope (Andrew) Oakley; great-nephews, Reed (Kristen) Williams and Robert Reed; and her four-legged friend, Weenie. A memorial service with a burial to follow will be Friday, January 29, 2021, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Following the service, her remains will be interred next to her parents in Petway Community Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday before the service from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
