David Joe Shirley, age 58, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bonnie Layman Lofton. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hudgins Shirley; son, Brandon Joe Shirley; brothers, Dennis and Don Shirley; sisters, Debbie Thompson and Shelia Tidwell. Funeral service will be held Monday, July 23, 2012, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Bro. David Holland officiating. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 11am to 8pm and on Monday from 9am until funeral hour of 1pm. Burial will be in Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jason Weeks, Roy T. Biggs, Tarron Biggs, Marvin Faulkner, and Roy D. Biggs. Donations may be made to the Family of Mr. Shirley.
