MONROE, David Lynn, age 66, passed away at his home on May 14, 2015. David was born in Martin, Tennessee, on June 29, 1948, to L.C. Monroe and Laverne Parrish Monroe. David received his Associate Degree from Nashville School of Preaching in Religious Studies, was an Elder at Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ and was a retired Maintenance Engineer for UPS. He is preceded in death by his parents, L.C. and Laverne Monroe and his sister, Barbara Ann Monroe. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Hilda Vann Monroe; daughters, Amy Monroe (John) Pendleton, Amanda Monroe, and Amber (Jacob) Blystone; brothers, Jerry (Alice) Monroe and Kenneth (Kay) Monroe; and grandchildren, Maghan, Jennie, Will and Lilly Pendleton and Baker Blystone. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cliett Goodpasture and Brother Johnny Trail officiating. Jacob Blystone will provide the eulogy. Burial will follow in Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015, from 5pm to 8pm and on Saturday before the service from 10am until service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Gupton, Will Pendleton, Clint Monroe, Steve Weathers, Darrell Binkley, Bob Binkley, Freddie Garza and Dale Monroe. Honorary pallbearers are the Elders and Deacons of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ.
