David Wayne Day, Sr., age 65, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at his home. David was born in Evansville, Indiana, on June 26, 1957, to James David Day and Barbara Lou (Arnold) Day.
He received an associate degree and spent his career as a contractor and owner of David Day Construction.
He is preceded in death by his father, James David Day. He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Pamela (Boshers) Day; mother, Barbara Day; sons, David Wayne Day, Jr, Brian Michael Day, Steven Matthew Day (Arin), Derrick Clayton Day (Alison); daughter, Heather Renee Gregory (Tim); brothers, Jim Day (Sharon) and Ronnie Day (Bonnie); sister, Tinda Davis (Brian); five grandchildren, Hunter, John, Magnolia, Tobias and Wyatt.
Funeral service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Nick Nickles officiating. Burial will follow in Day Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends before the service from 10am until the time of service at 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Farris, Troy Kellogg, Mike Hester, Tim Gregory, Cody Day, and Brian Day.
