DAVID ERVIN BRANSON, age 79, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at TriStar Centennial in Ashland City. David was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, on April 6, 1938, to the late Ervin Samuel Branson and Ruth Margaret Culp Branson. David was a high school graduate and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked in the computer industry, as well as retired from the Ashland City Police Department as a law enforcement officer. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marsha Branson; and brother, Dean Branson. He is survived by his daughter, Angela (Todd) Corn; son, David Anthony (Lisa) Branson; sisters, Judy (Rod) Musch and Rebecca "Becky" Markt; and 4 grandchildren, Ryan Corn, Chris Branson, Josh Branson and Andrew Branson. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 26th at 6pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am until service hour of 6pm.
