Darnell Vaughn, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Darnell was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on March 17, 1932, to the late Lonzie Porter Smith and Lillie Pearl Smith McAdams. She was a housewife, mother and grandmother to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Daniel Vaughn; and daughter, Cherie Lynn Vaughn. She is survived by her children: Renee Vaughn-Butler and son-in-law, David Butler and son, Michael "Mike" Vaughn; grandchildren, Michael Miller, Desiree Vaughn, Rachel Vaughn, David Vaughn, Michelle Vaughn, and Andrea Vaughn; 2 great-grandchildren, Julian Vaughn and Presley Vaughn-King; and sister, Margaret Cook. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her in Cheatham and Davidson County. Funeral service will be Monday, January 20, 2020, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19th, from 2pm to 7pm and on Monday, January 20th, from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
