BENNETT, Curtis Randall, age 70, passed on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Harvey and Thelma Lee Cannon Bennett; son, Jerry Schreiner; stepfather, Herb Pardue; brother, James Lewis Bennett; and sister, Sandra Lee Nicholson. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Hearon Bennett; son, Troy (Jennifer) Holder; daughter, Cheryl Lee Bennett; brother, William (Stephanie) Bennett; sister, Karen (Jeff) Sullivan; grandchildren, Jeremiah Hyde, Aubry, Camden and Landon Holder, Caleb and Lacy Egli; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Curtis Hyde, Jr., and Jaelynn Grace Hyde. Curtis was retired from the Air Force and a former Chief of Police for 22 years for Ashland City. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Felts Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Serving as pallbearers will be the Ashland City Police Department and grandsons, Aubry Holder and Jeremiah Hyde. Visitation with the family will be Friday, March 8, 2013, from 4pm until 7pm, Saturday from 1pm to 5pm and on Sunday from 12noon until service hour of 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, TACP Leadership Endowment Fund, or the Fraternal Order of Police for Cheatham County.
