Mr. Curley Wayne Reeves, born February 4, 1944, in Cheatham County to the late Richard Melvin Reeves, and the late Louise Perry, passed on April 30, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Travis and Jr. Reeves; sisters, Arlene Hayward, Dorothy Johnson, Devon Weakley, and Jenelle Houchin.
He is survived by significant other, Lisa Watts Fleming; daughter, Teresa Hoskins (Robbie), Sarasota, Florida; sons by choice, Derek Dwyer (Niki) of Ashland City, Tennessee, Jacob Dwyer (Kendel), of Cedar Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ves Walsh, Lexi Walsh, Chase Walsh, Carson Dwyer, Jaxten Dwyer, Whitley Dwyer, Riggins Dwyer, and Berkley Dwyer; sister, Barbara Hackett; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Mr. Reeves was a lifelong resident of Cheatham County. He was the owner/operator of Reeves Septic Tank Service. He loved his grandbabies with all his heart, and enjoyed riding 100's of miles on the weekends. He was joking and raising cain till the last moments of his life. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 2pm until 7pm and Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10am until the hour of service at 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Dwyer, Jacob Dwyer, Bobby Hackett, Chris Baker, Ves Walsh, and Chris Dutton. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Capley, Don Walker, Clay Risner, and Johnny Jones.
