Mayo, Clarence A., age 74, passed away at his home on Friday, September 18, 2015. He was born June 20, 1941, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to Rhuland Allen Mayo and Opal Biggs Mayo. Mr. Mayo was a Christian and worked in construction. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Mayo; and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Wendell Allen Mayo, Alec Mayo, Dale Mayo (Tammy), Michael Mayo; daughters, Angela Pate and Rose Ann Mayo; brothers, David Mayo (Angela), Terry Mayo (Sherry), Jeffery Mayo (Pam), and Eric Mayo; sister, Pamela Rose Sutton (Timothy); 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, September 21, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cecil Boswell and Brother Joe Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 1pm to 7pm and on Monday, September 21st from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
