Chester “Bud” James Huffines, Sr., 73, of Cheatham County departed this life on April 29, 2026.
He was born July 29, 1952, in Portland, Tennessee to James Huffines and Jewel (Stephens) Huffines. He is preceded in death by his father, James Huffines.
Bud was a Cheatham County High School graduate and worked for Ben Swinger, Pittsburg Plate Glass, Simmons Plate Glass, and Alexander Metals as a construction glazer.
He leaves behind his mother, Jewel Huffines; son, Chester James Huffines, Jr.; daughters, Kelly Walker (Brian) and Jayme Rhea Huffines; brother, Mickey Huffines; sisters, Linda Smith and Penny Johnson (John); and grandchildren, Adelina Boyles and Adrien Boyles.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 4, 2026, at 12pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2pm to 5pm and Monday from 10am till the service hour of 12pm. Family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Creekers Ball Organization 1423 Sams Creek Rd. Ashland City, Tn 37015.
