Charles David Drake, 89, of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Eaton Creek Post Acute in Nashville. Born October 30, 1936, in Nashville, he was the son of the late Gordon Edwin Drake and Irene (Wilson) Drake. He graduated from Bellevue High School with the Class of 1954 and worked as an inspector for Ford Glass. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Irene Drake; daughter, Terri Bess; and brothers, Gordon Edwin Drake, Jr, William Grant Drake, Kenneth Wayne Drake; and brother-in-law, Raymond Holt. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nancy (Morris) Drake; brothers, Harold Dennis Drake (Mallerie), Larry Dale Drake (Emily), and Jerry Wilson Drake (Sherry); sisters, Joyce Drake Holt and Nancy Jane Newsom (Roy); grandchildren, Halie Lauren Holley (Mack) and Emily Carol Brown (Craig); and great grandson, Cooper Thomas Brown; and sister-in-law, Betty Drake. Funeral service will be Monday, October 5, 2026, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Josh Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, October 5th from 11am until service hour of 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the River Road Church of Christ.
