Carl Wayne McCarver, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Carl was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on May 2, 1951, to the late James and Stella Forbes McCarver. Carl was a member of the Hope Worship Center and a retired inspector for the State of Tennessee DOT. Carl loved his St. Louis Cardinals. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Fairy McCarver and second wife, Lucy McCarver; and brother, Ray McCarver. He is survived by his four-legged companions, Valentine and Felix; friend, Trish Whitehead; cousins, Violet Forbes-Scholes, Kathy Cushman, Jean Phillips and Jerry Forbes; uncle, Willard Forbes; nephews, Dale and Kerry McCarver; and step-grandson, Jesse Miller. Funeral service will be Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Walsh officiating. Burial will follow Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 4pm to 6pm and on Sunday, June 3rd from 12noon until 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale McCarver, Kerry McCarver, Jerry Forbes, Tommy Cushman, Louis Steven Cartwright, Jr., Wade Scholes, and Jesse Miller. Honorary pallbearer will be Corky Albright.
