Cabell Shoffner was called home to the Lord on Thursday, September 17, 2026. Cabell was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee on January 22, 1948. She attended and graduated from Harpeth Hall high school and later attended University of Memphis where she met and married John Evans. They were blessed with a son, John Claiborne Evans. In her younger years she enjoyed riding horses. She later worked as the vice president of operations at a bank in Memphis. She then started a career for medical coding and was a Church administrator at Flewellyn Baptist when she retired. She was proceeded in death by her father, William Homer Blitch, Junior and her mother Shelley Cabell Blitch. She was survived by her son, Clay Evans and wife, Chrystal Evans, who she referred to as her daughter, granddaughters Addy Evans and Summer Chamberlain, great granddaughters Gracie, Kensley and Aspen Chamberlain. She loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She holds a place and made a mark in everyone’s heart that she met. She will be forever missed until we all meet again in heaven to worship and sing praises to the Lord for all eternity. A celebration of life will be held at 4pm on September 26th at Mt. Hebron, 2070 Mosley Ferry Rd. Chapmansboro TN 37035.
