Ashland City, TN – Joyce Dury Foster, a long-time resident of Ashland City, passed away peacefully with loved ones present on April 4, 2019. Joyce was the youngest of three girls, born on July 3, 1944 to the late Frederick W. and Mary Louise (Kirby) Dury, of Nashville, TN. She is survived by daughters Rhonda (Joe) Ellis, of Joelton, TN, and Theresa (Steve) Polk, of Ashland City, TN; life partner Rickey E. Boyd, of Ashland City, TN; grandchildren Steven Polk, Freddy Polk, Samantha Polk, and Andrew Polk, and great-grandchildren Dallas Davenport and Tara Davenport, all of Ashland City, TN; sisters Rita Dury West, of Birmingham, AL, and Theresa Dury Botts, of Mt. Juliet, TN, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son George Samuel Foster, Jr, and granddaughter Rachel Foster Polk. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 6, 2019, at 5pm with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Visitation will be at Cheatham County Funeral Home on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 10am until service hour of 5pm. Joyce loved God and family above all things.
