SWEENEY, Bobby Joe, Sr., age 79, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 23, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mabrin Sweeney and Coral Beatrice Austin Sweeney; wife, Alberta A. Dillingham Sweeney; son, Bobby Joe Sweeney, Jr.; sister, Linda Yates; and grandson, Bryan Curtis Sweeney. He is survived by his three sons: Danny L., Randy D., and Kenny J. Sweeney; brothers, Wayne (June), Craig (Debbie) and Donald Earl (Claudia) Sweeney; sisters, Mai (Dennis) Stevens, Anita Campbell, and Brenda (Donnie) Tatum; one granddaughter, Taylor Sweeney; and one great-grandson, Caiden Ivey. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sweeney Cemetery in Ashland City, TN. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 26th from 10am until service hour of 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Sweeney's memory may be made to the family.
