Bobby Powell, age 86, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away at his home on August 1, 2023. Bobby was born in Slayden, Tennessee, on June 13, 1937, to the late Roy and Lorene (Ragan) Powell. He worked as a supervisor at the Ford Glass Plant. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Janelle (Mullins) Powell. He is survived by his brother, Roger Powell (Rose); sister, Kay Atkinson (Ray); daughter, Torri Studtmann; and grandchildren, Mary Grace Studtmann and Madison Elizabeth Studtmann. Funeral Service will be Monday, August 7,2023, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Carl Simms officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2pm to 6pm and Monday, August 7, 2023, from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm. Serving as active pallbearers will be Rory Kennedy, George Stricklinn, Timmy Williams, Roger Powell, Ray Atkinson, Larry Forsythe and Jimmy Williams. Honorary pallbearers Tom Herbert and Kevin Williams.
