Bobby Gene Nicholson Sr., age 89, passed away peacefully on August, 27, 2020, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving sons. Bobby was born in Neptune, Tennessee, in Cheatham County, on March 21, 1931 to the late Ramah Shaw Nicholson and Bertie Stuart Nicholson. Bobby was a graduate of Cheatham County High School, Class of 1949 and a materials and test engineer for TDOT. Bobby was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Ashland City United Methodist for over 70 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Ruth Nicholson; daughter, Donna Lynn Nicholson; brothers, William Gerard "Gid" Nicholson and Kenneth "Shag" Nicholson; sisters, Mary Margaret Nicholson, Ruth Virginia Nicholson, Martha F. "Cotton" Owen and Helen Louise Nicholson. He is survived by his sons, Bobby Gene "Nick" Nicholson (Carla), John Nicholson (Rhonda); and grandson Nathan Nicholson. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 1pm in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee with Rev. Bobbie Martin officiating.
