RAINES, Billy J., Sr., age 63, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Billy was born February 5, 1952, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Carlos Raines and Clara Spalding Raines. He worked for Metro Public Schools in the Janitorial Services. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Earps Raines; son, Billy Raines, Jr.; sisters, Kathy Raines, Jean Raines, and Vivian Smith; and brother, Steve Raines. He is survived by his son, Eugene (Mary) Raines; daughter, Shelia Raines (Junior Keen); sister, Tina Keymon; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, August 14, 2015, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 2pm to 7pm and on Friday, from 9am until service hour of 12noon.
