Billy Edgin, age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Billy was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 24, 1932, to the late Jessie Edgin and Maggie Jones Edgin. He was a retired union carpenter for TVA. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta Hunter Edgin; son, David Edgin; brothers, Joe and Donald Edgin; half-brother, James Simpkins; sisters, Pearl and Juanita Edgin; and daughter-in-law, Pamela Edgin. He is survived by his son, Jerry Neal Edgin; six grandchildren, Frank (Elaine) Trunko, Tammie (Carl) Tinch, James (Sheena) Edgin, Billy (Krista) Edgin, James (Tiffany) Edgin, and Kathryn (Ronn) McAllister; daughter-in-law, Rita Edgin; 8 great-grandchildren; and his faithful lifelong friend, Sammie Dozier. Funeral service will be Friday, December 27th, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cecil Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, December 26th from 2pm to 7pm and on Friday, December 27th, from 10am until service hour of 2pm. Serving as active pallbearers are Randy Edgin, Ronn McAllister, James Edgin, Billy Edgin, James "Red" Edgin, Jeremiah Orange, and Landon Edgin.
