Billy Dean Batts, age 84, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Billy was born in Chapmansboro, Tennessee, on March 4, 1934, to the late Riley Jerome Batts and Mura Mae Shearon Batts. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a retired asphalt paver and road builder for Bill Batts Sealing Company as well as Sessions Paving. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy and Dewey Batts; and one sister, Opal Forbes. Billy is survived by his wife, Bonnie Turner Batts; son, Benny (Kelly) Batts; daughters, Tammy (Alan) Binkley and Tonya Batts; and three grandchildren, Lindsey Batts, Jenny Phillips and Cody Binkley and great-grandchild, Riley Phillips. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Benny Batts and Tammy Batts Binkley sharing words of comfort. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2018, from 3pm to 7pm and on Thursday from 10am until service hour of 1pm.
