Bettye Gene Crump, age 84, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Bettye was born in Petersburg, Tennessee on September 20, 1937. She is a retired graphic artist for the Tennessee Education Association. Bettye is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Annie Hammonds Reeves; her husband, Alfred Linton Crump Sr.; brothers, Donnie Reeves and David Reeves; sisters, Linda Reeves and Christine Reeves; and her granddaughter, Lauren Crump. She is survived by her sons, Alfred "Chip" Crump Jr. (Corry) and Craig Crump (Jackie); daughter, Betsy Crump; and grandchildren, Lexi Crump, Emily Simoneau, Sean Crump, and Brett Soden. A celebration of life will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 1, 2021 with visitation from 10am until the service at 12noon.
