BERTHA JANE CHANCE, age 71, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Nashville Community Care at Bordeaux. Bertha was born February 15, 1945, to the late James Thomas Cole and the late Kate Cox Cole in King, North Carolina. She was a retired factory worker, working for Endata for many years. Bertha is preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Bonnie Mahurin; sister, Barbara Duncan; and brother, Burton Cole. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Prater, Blanche Chaffee, Tammy Cole and Sharon Wingo. Funeral service will be Monday, November 14, 2016, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13th from 3pm to 6pm and on Monday from 11:30am until service hour of 1pm.
