Bertha Mae Buttram, age 87, passed away on January 13, 2020, in Greenwood, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Bertha was born in Dekalb County, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Ardelia Bennet Denney. She was a member of Scottsboro Church of Christ before relocating to Greenwood, Indiana, to be near her daughter. Bertha was a loving housewife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, David Wayne Buttram. Survivors are her husband of 66-1/2 years, Neil Buttram, formerly of Nashville and now of Greenwood, IN; daughter, Marissa Ann (Joel) Buttram Westberry of Greenwood, IN; brothers, Robert (Brenda) Denney of Dickson Co., TN, and Sammy Denney of Davidson Co., TN; sister, Brenda Bohannon of North Carolina; grandchildren, Cathryn (Kyle) Grider, Stephanie (Callun) Senac, Amy Westberry, and Craig Westberry; great-grandchildren, Levi Grider, Lily Grider, Kinsley Senac, and Everley Senac. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 16, 2020, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with John Temple officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15th from 4pm to 7pm and on Thursday, January 16th from 11am until service hour of 1pm.
