Obituary

Anita Dean Brown, age 71, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away April 2, 2016, at home.
Anita was born December 28, 1944 in McMinnville, TN to John Firm Turner and Nora Mae Turner (Griffin).

She was a hard worker, learning her work ethic early by helping her family on the farm. Anita worked in the accounting field for most of her career and retired from Da Vita, Inc. in 2012.
Anita enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Anita was a member of Greenbrier Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her parents, John Firm Turner and Nora Mae Griffin Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Eugene Turner, Charles Turner, John Firm Turner, Jr., Wayne Turner, Earlene Nicks, and Hazel Stevens. She is survived by her husband Bill Brown of 40 years and siblings Joyce Griffith, Janie Cantrell, Karen Mathis, and Doug Turner. She is also survived by her sons Jeffrey Beaty, Eric (Angie) Beaty, and Kent (Andrea) Beaty, her daughters Kelly (Chris) Douglas and Shelly (Nathan) Hudgens, and her six grandchildren whom she adored; Chelsea, Zach, Zerri, Jessika, Jakob, and Sutton. Anita also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and dear friends. She was the most giving and thoughtful Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Sister and Friend. Anyone that knew her was blessed to be part of her life. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

A Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Bill Shouse officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 3pm to 8pm and on Tuesday, April 5th from 9am until service hour of 1pm. Burial will be held at Greenbrier Church of Christ Cemetery following funeral services.
