ROSE, DR. ALVIN C., age 69, passed away on July 15, 2014, at Christian Care of Cheatham County in Ashland City, TN. He was born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to Alvin C. and Hattie Frances Hendren Rose. Dr. Rose was an educator for the Cheatham County Schools for 41 years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and secondary supervisor; minister of three churches: Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ, Cheap Hill Church of Christ and Ashland City Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his parents, Russell and Joann Hilliard; wife of 45 years, Jeanne Roberts Rose; sons, James Alvin Rose and Benjamin Byrl Rose; brother, Timothy Morris (Paula) Rose; nephew, Cody Rose; and niece, Catelyn Rose. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Cliett Goodpasture and Brother Jason Allison officiating. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 4pm to 8pm and on Sunday from noon until service hour of 2pm.
