HARRIS, Alma Louise, age 89, passed away on October 28, 2015, at TriStar of Ashland City in Ashland City, Tennessee. She was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on April 1, 1926, to Otho Jordan and Vera Gupton Jordan. She was a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Quilting Club. She worked as a secretary for Poole and Son Plumbing, a cook for the Cheatham County Jail, and a librarian for Sycamore Middle School, all in Cheatham County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Harris; and siblings, Sonny Jordan, Annette Jordan (infant), and Jewell Gongaleski. She is survived by her son, Brooks Harris (Jo Ann); brothers, Dalton Jordan (Peggy) and Freeman Jordan; sister, Erma Weakley; sister-in-law, Fay Jordan, and grandson, B.J. Harris and granddaughter, Monika Stuard. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30th from 2pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 10am until service hour of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Walter Weakley, Gary "Pee Wee" Weakley, Bobby Cordiero, Jeff Jordan, Brent Jordan, and Johnny Jordan. Honorary pallbearers are B.J.
