LOYD, ALFRED "LEWIS", age 76, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 12, 2017. Lewis was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 8, 1940, to the late Robert Loyd and Bertha Keedy Loyd. He worked and retired from Chicago Pipefitters Local 597 as a plumber and pipefitter. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Charles Loyd; sister, Maggie Loyd; and granddaughter, Lynette Loyd. He is survived by his sons, Bo Loyd (Patsy), Royce Loyd (Nora) and Joshua Loyd; daughter, Melissa Shortridge (Marty); brothers, Gene Loyd (Faye) and Sam Loyd (Marie); 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Lewis' memory will be Monday, January 16, 2017, at 6pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Walsh officiating.
