Alene Dozier, age 85, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on March 11, 2024. Alene was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, on July 11, 1938, to the late Henry and Millie (Adams) Caudill. She was a former restaurant owner and retired from American Greeting Cards. Alene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Sonny" Dozier; brothers, Lee, Matt, Arthur, Kermit, Jack, Steve, Hargis, Gorman, Ace, Ray and Clayton Caudill; and sisters, Thelma Mullins, Inus Caudill, and Stella Caudill Tackett. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Johnnie) Mitchell and Sherry (Eric Booth) Snyder; grandchildren, Samantha Carter, Crystal (Philip) Travis, Duff Moore, Jessica Sheler, Beth (Chuck) Newcomb, and Erica Braswell; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Cori Carter and many other step-grandchildren; and sister, Rosa Lee (Bill) Howell. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 12noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Dwayne James officiating. A burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. The visitation will be Wednesday, March 13th from 5pm to 7pm and on Thursday before the service from 10am until service hour of 12noon.
