AL C. POTEETE, Sr., age 64, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Al was born on November 30, 1953, in Ohio to the late Charlie and Lola Kirby Poteet. He was a retired Union roofer, working formerly for Maxwell Roofing. Al was preceded in death by his parents; son, Justin Dale Fuqua Poteete; brothers, Charles and Lloyd Poteete; and sisters, Helen McQuiston, Dotty Raymer, Maybelle Kirby, and Debra Teaster. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jodie Woodroof; children: Kristy (Jonathan) Wates, Al Carlock (Madison) Poteete, Jr., Austin Carlisle Poteete and Alexis Sims; brothers, Willie Poteet (Betty), Henry Poteet (Gina), and Ricky Poteete; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
