Frederick Matthew Bell

October 9, 1965 - May 2, 2022

Mr. Frederick Matthew Bell known as “Matt Dillon” to some and “Metro” to others passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the age of 56. He was born on October 9, 1965, to Glenal (Harold G.) Bell and William Lee in Dickson County. Matthew was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, Tn, and was a jack of all trades from barbequing, concreting, carpentry, seasonal tobacco working, and mastering every task while being left-handed. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever doing whatever they asked of him. His smile was always the same and saying “Thank You” was easy for him. Matthew was preceded in death by his mother, Glenal Bell, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memory, Harold (Ada) Bell “pops”, William Hughes Lee (father); Devoted sisters, Cynthia (Timothy) Bell-Hollingsworth, Loway (Don) Goree, Carmen Briscoe-Lee; Brothers, William Lee, Samuel (Pierre-Michele); Two devoted Nephews Jyrod (Felicity Heidekker) Bell, Aaron Bell; Great Nephew, Javon; Great Nieces, Ashleigh, Abreea, Annalese; Special devoted friend Lisa Adams; Devoted Aunts and Uncles, Carlee Bell, Maryland Bell Donnell Carney, Thomas Carney; Great Aunts, Mary Jane Vaughn, Willie Mae Vaughn; Aunts, Edna Dotson, Geneva (Frank) Bryant, Rebecca (Rickie) Dotson, Anita (Robert) Blue Jr. Mary R. Ramey, Patsy (George) Spicer; Ellen Bell, Benetia Bowers; Vicki Lee Carney; Charlene (Grayling) Bell and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:55am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Frankie Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 11am until service time of 11:55am.
