REEVES, Charles Elton, age 76, passed away September 1, 2017. Born to parents, Noah Reeves and Elizabeth Newland Reeves on November 10, 1940 in Ashland City, Tennessee. He was a Veteran from the U.S. Air Force and Vietnam. He spent his time after the service as a Diesel Mechanic for Saunders Leasing Company and then eventually retired from Ryder Transportation. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy Edwards, Paul Edwards, Dudley Edwards, Bud Reeves and Richard Reeves; sisters, Nora Reeves and Margaret Reeves. He is survived by his sons, George Elton Reeves, James Noah “Butch” Reeves (Jennifer), Jacob Frederick Reeves (Rick Drake); daughter, Julia Reeves Batte (David); brother, Willard Reeves and sister, Eleanor Johnson (Paul); 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and 1 yet to arrive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 5, 2017 4:00 pm-7:00 pm and Wednesday, September 6, 2017 9:00 am-11:00 am with the service hour at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home on. Interment will be private for family only. Pallbearers will be Corey Batte, Cotey Batte, Steven Demumbra, Christopher Reeves, Steven Reeves, Jacob Reeves, Butch Reeves, and Elton Reeves. Honorary pallbearer is Wyatt Reeves.
